BLEACHIE are now considered Europe's
foremost BLONDIE tribute band (and believe us, there are a few out there!).
Having returned recently from sell-out shows in Belgium, The Netherlands
and Scandinavia "Dirty Harry et al" come to play a few Scottish
dates before commencing on a string of festival dates around Britain
and Europe.
Originally formed for a one off Halloween gig in Glasgow it was only
the level and persistence of subsequent gig offers that convinced the
members to keep BLEACHIE on the go. And it shows. The nature of their
formation means that the sense of fun entertainment and genuine love
for the music from this bands performance is unsurpassable.
Comprising various members of various well known Glasgow bands, Pink
Kross,
The Amphetameanies, Macrocosmica,
The Johnny 7
and Leicester's finest heavy rockers
"Josiah". This is no toe-gazing, indulgent art-band. This
is full on, old school, new wave, pop-punk entertainment. BLEACHIE perform
the greatest hits of Blondie (you won't believe how many you know the
words to!) with a respect and love for the music and a healthy good
natured tongue in the cheek for the kitsch glam of it all.
So dig out your thigh high boots, packets of peroxide and your French
phrase books. Stop "Hanging on the Telephone" and get to feel
the "Presence" of real entertainment cos "One Way or

& The Elvis Suicide on Tuesday the 30th December. Doors are at 8p.m.
